About UsThe Toltech robotics team is comprised of students from the Edgewood Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. EISD has been around for many years. With only two high schools, community is a very important aspect to the members of the Toltechs, 499. Members feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when the team works together to spread the values of the organization. While strengthening and preserving the interest of engineering in the San Antonio area, Toltech members work together to ensure cooperation with one another, in an effort to assist the needs of individuals, seeking knowledge in engineering.
FIRST, or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is an organization founded by inventor Dean Kamen in 1989 in order to develop ways to inspire students in engineering and technology Game Descriptionfields. The organization is the foundation for the FIRST Robotics Competition, the FIRST LEGO League, and the FIRST Tech Challenge competition.
